This page explains how anyone? users can request deletion of their account and associated data. If you need help, contact hello@nightmapp.com.
Delete your anyone? account in the app
If you can access your account, the fastest way to delete it is inside the anyone? app:
- Open anyone?.
- Go to your profile.
- Open Settings.
- Open Account center.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion prompt.
After confirmation, anyone? starts deleting or anonymizing your account and associated data where reasonably possible.
Request deletion if you cannot access the app
If you cannot log in, cannot open the app, or no longer have the app installed, email hello@nightmapp.com and ask us to delete your anyone? account.
To help us verify and find the correct account, include:
- the email address on your anyone? account,
- your anyone? username if you know it,
- whether you signed in with email/password or Apple Sign In.
We may ask for additional verification before deleting an account, especially if the request is not sent from the account email address.
Data deleted or anonymized
When your account is deleted, anyone? deletes or anonymizes account-related data where reasonably possible, including:
- account profile information such as username, display name, bio, avatar, email, and authentication links;
- login/session records such as refresh tokens and registered devices;
- push notification tokens and in-app notifications;
- friend connections, blocks, and social graph links;
- venue favorites and saved-place links;
- plans owned by you and plan membership/activity tied to your user account where possible;
- venue reports, venue submissions, and uploaded media associated with your account where possible;
- messages you sent where deletion is technically and legally appropriate.
Data that may be retained
Some data may be retained for limited purposes, including:
- safety, moderation, abuse-prevention, fraud-prevention, or security records;
- records needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes;
- server logs, backups, and diagnostic records until they rotate out of our systems;
- content that has been copied, screenshotted, exported, or otherwise saved by other users outside anyone?;
- minimal records needed to prove that deletion was requested and processed.
Retention period
Most active account data is deleted or anonymized shortly after the deletion request is verified and processed. Backup copies, logs, and diagnostic records may remain for up to 30 days before they rotate out, unless we are legally required or have a legitimate safety/security reason to retain specific records for longer.
